Service Notice, September 3rd, 5:50 am: The possibility of service
interuption Friday evening and Saturday morning continues. However, the
Friday 5am forecast indicates better timing of when the storm will blow
through (in the middle of the night, away from our run times), such that
Saturday morning's run is more likely to sail. Furthermore, the storm
remanants will pass clear of our region altogether by mid-morning Saturday,
leaving us with abundant sunshine, calmer seas, and a beautiful weekend.

Wave height predictions, even for the worst of the storm, have also decreased
to just 4', making conditions much better for our potential sailing Fri night
and Sat morning. We'll be ready to sail and will also be ready to get you
where you need to go if we can't.

IF cancellation of ferry service becomes necessary, we will provide
transportation from Boston to Provincetown, and return, with privately
chartered motor coaches. These coaches will leave from Boston and
Provincetown's ticketing locations and depart on the same schedule as the
fast ferries.

The only exception to this may be the 7:30pm departure from Ptown on Friday,
when the winds might be so strong that the busses will decide not to operate
either. Passengers should not count on transit from Ptown Friday evening,
although we will have busses on hand should conditions permit. However,
Friday night's wind speeds are now looking to not be severe enough to prevent
busses from traveling from Ptown at 7:30pm.

If necessary, travel time for busses is expected to be roughly 2 hours and 20
minutes.

The 9:00am Traditional Ferry service (the slower, 3 hr boat) on Saturday,
will be cancelled altogether. We will post updates to the weather and our
service contingencies here, when changes occur.
